Their explanation (excuse) might go like this: People couldn't afford the products in the package sizes they came in, so packaging has been re-sized to make it possible for them to purchase those products. Yeah... that would be good, if they weren't charging the prices for the smaller sizes, exactly the same or more than they were getting for the original, larger packages. Yet, at the same time, they ask us to save them money (and help the environment) by buying their little canvas-like shopping bags to bring with us each time we go to the super market. My question is... if you really want to save money and help the environment... give us the canvas bags... and we'll bring 'em with us every time we visit. It's another one of those examples of them being considerate and generous with OUR money!
