Beach residents thrown under the bus

September 19, 2018
Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

To the editor:

As a resident of Primo Drive, I agree with Chris Patton. I have voiced my opinion at the meetings and written letters to the newspapers. I feel we were thrown under the bus. I also feel council did not follow our codes or comp plan. If you read Mr. Spikowski's report he states that this project when finished would be alarming to Primo Drive. residents. Webester's definition of alarming: danger, frightening, worrying, disturbing. That's a pretty scary definition.

Secondly to build this huge hotel right in the heart of the worst traffic problem of the county makes no sense. People call it the blighted area; yes, it does look bad. TPI has owned it for three years and has done very little to clean it up; picking up trash and a little painting goes a long way.

I say let him keep ocean jewels and scale down the size of this project.
