Ellen L. Pritchard

August 23, 2018
Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

It is with great sadness that the family of long time Lee County resident, Ellen L. Pritchard (affectionately known as "Mom-Mom") announces her passing peacefully at home on August 17th. As grateful friends of "Bill W", Ellen and her late husband Fred ("Pop-Pop") Pritchard devoted much of their lives towards helping others and giving back to the program that was such a huge part of their lives for 45 years. Ellen will be forever remembered as a strong, loving mother who adored both her family and her extended family of friends. She had a special fondness for children and not only nurtured her own, but opened her heart to others as well.

Ellen was incredibly proud of her five daughters, whom she raised to be strong, independent women: Susan Crane (John), Meg Conlan (Dan), Mickey Miller, Ellie Miller and Donna Libak (Chris). Her six grandchildren: Louise, Michelle, Liz, John Jr., Jessica and Chris Jr., three great grandchildren: Christopher, Hali and Nora plus her nieces and nephews brought so much joy to Ellens life.

Born in Buffalo, New York on June 10th, 1934, Ellen happily called Southwest Florida home from the time she and her family moved to Fort Myers Beach in 1977. An avid reader, Ellens family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lee County Library System 2345 Union St., Fort Myers, Florida 33901 in her name, or to help individuals in addiction recovery at INTERGROUP 12734 Kenwood Lane #72, Fort Myers Florida 33907.
